2022 ජූනි අවසානය වෙද්දි UK එන්න sponsored study visa 487,000කට ආසන්න ප්‍රමාණයක් නිකුත් කරලා තියනවා dependents ඇතුළුව. මේ ප්‍රමාණය 2019 අවුරුද්දට වඩා 71% වැඩි වීමක්. ඩිපෙන්ඩන්ට්ස්ලා විතරක් 81,089 කට visa හම්බ වෙලා තියනවා.

මේ තත්වය පාලනය කරන්න Home Secretary Suella Braveman අළුතින් immigration rules වල review එකක් කරන්න ඕන කියලා තියනවා ඒත් ඒක තවමත් යෝජනාවක් විතරයි.

නයිජීරියාවේන් හා ඉන්දියාවෙන් තමයි වැඩියෙන්ම dependents ඇවිත් තියන්නේ. නයිජීරියාවේ students 34,000 සමගින් dependents 31,898 ක් ද, ඉන්දියාවෙන් students 93,100 සමගින් dependents 24,916 ක් ද මෙරටට ඇවිත් තියනවා. ඒ වගෙම ලිබියාවෙ students ලට වඩා dependents ලා ඇවිත් තියනවා, students 272 කට dependents 455ක්.

ඒ වගෙම skilled workers ලගෙ dependents ප්‍රමාණයත් ඉහල ගිහින්. Skilled workers 37764 ඉදලා 83,400 දක්වා ඉහල ගිහින්.

Home Secretary මෙහෙම අදහස් දක්වද්දි තවත් සමහරෙක් අදහස් කරේ Prime Minister Truss ගෙ යෝජනාවන්ට අනුව විදේශීය සිසුන් සහ ශ්‍රමිකයින් ගෙනිවීමේදී නීති ලිහිල් කිරීමේ යෝජනාව ක්‍රියාත්මක විය යුතු බවයි.

International students, High Skilled migrants හරාහා රට තුලට ගෙනෙන විදේශ විනිමය, tax ගෙවීමෙන් රට තුල ආර්ථිකය ශක්තිමත් වීම ගැන අවධානය යොමු කල යුතු බව කියවෙන අතරම, විශාල විදේශීකයින් සහ low skilled migrants රට තුලට ගෙන්වා ගැනීම, නිවාස තද බදය සහ අනෙකුත් සේවාවන්හි තද බදය වැඩි වෙන බව කියා හිටියත් රටට ඇති වන යහපත සහ රට ඇතුලෙ ඉගෙන ගෙන ලබා ගන්නා දැනුම පලපුරුද්ද ගැන සතුටු විය යුතු බවත්ය. International students වෙනුවෙන් courses වල quality එක ඉහල නංවන්නට කටයුතු සැලසිය යුතු බවත් ඒ කථාවල සදහන් උනා.

The UK has issued around 487,000 sponsored study visas including dependents up to June 2022. This shows a significant, 71% increase compared to the year 2019. Hence, 81,089 dependents were able to receive visas.

To control this situation, Suella Braveman, Home Secretary of the United Kingdom has proposed to conduct a new review of their immigration rules. But fortunately, it still remains as a suggestion.

The statistics proclaim that the highest number of dependents were reported from Nigeria and India. Accordingly, 31,898 dependents immigrated with 34,000 students from Nigeria, while 24,916 dependents immigrated with 93,100 students from India. Besides, the number of dependents from Libya is significantly higher than the number of students who immigrate to the country. In consonance with the statistics, the student-dependent ratio of Libya is 272:455, which is noteworthy.

Moreover, both the skilled workers and the number of dependents who immigrate with skilled workers have remarkably increased. Hence, the number of skilled workers has expanded from 37,764 to 83,400.

Nevertheless, the perspective of the Prime Minister, Truss is quite distinct from the Home Secretary. Thus, she proclaims that there should be mitigative suggestions referring to immigration rules and regulations for international students and skilled workers.

She further declared the significance of focusing more on the foreign exchange that flows into the country and also the taxes which come from international students and high skilled immigrants can reinforce the economy of the country. In contrast, even though she mentioned that immigration of a bulk amount of foreigners and low-skilled immigrants, housing congestion, and obstruction with other facilities are recognized as issues with the immigration of international students and skilled workers, it is also important to be positive on the rewards that the country can gain from them and also the experiences that they gain from the country. In consequence, she proposed that the quality of each course should be upgraded for international students.

However, all these statements still remain as suggestions. But next year may become a turning point for these implementations. If you can remember, prior the immigration rules were really easy as any student who immigrates can accompany his/her family members as dependents. Recently, this rule was changed and now students who follow Level 7 and above only can accompany dependents. Who knows what will happen in the future? So always try to upgrade your qualifications to meet these competitive requirements.
